Frequently asked questions
- Is a ChuktiQ digital agreement legally valid in Bangladesh?
- Yes. Sections 6 and 7 of the ICT Act, 2006 give electronic records and OTP-verified electronic signatures the same legal recognition as their paper equivalents. Exceptions apply to instruments a specific statute requires on non-judicial stamp paper or registered (e.g. land sale deeds under the Registration Act) — those need stamp / registration in addition to the digital record.
- How do I send an SMS rent reminder to my tenant?
- Open the tenant's agreement, go to the Rental Ledger tab, and tap "Send Reminder". Automatic reminders can be scheduled from Settings → Notifications so tenants are reminded 3 days before, 1 day before, and on the due date.
- Can I download the signed agreement as PDF?
- Yes. Once both parties sign with OTP, the agreement is finalised and a downloadable PDF becomes available from the agreement detail page. The PDF includes the digital signature audit trail (timestamp, IP, OTP verification) as required for evidentiary purposes.
- What subscription plans does ChuktiQ offer?

- What happens if my tenant refuses to sign digitally?
- A digital agreement is only valid once both parties consent. If your tenant is not comfortable with digital signing, you can print the ChuktiQ-generated agreement PDF, execute it on stamp paper, and use ChuktiQ purely for drafting and record-keeping. The rental ledger, SMS reminders, and dashboard features remain available.
